"How come your waitlist is so long?"

I completely understand that waiting to start therapy can feel frustrating, especially when you're motivated to make changes or are currently in distress. One of the reasons my waitlist can be long is because therapy isn’t a one-time consultation, like a doctor’s visit. Instead, it typically involves regular weekly or bi-weekly sessions over a longer period of time. Because of this, I need to ensure that I have enough space in my caseload to support each new client consistently and meaningfully from the day of their first appointment.

I also aim to work deeply and effectively with each client, and because I limit my caseload to ensure high-quality care, this means that openings for new clients may not come up often.

While short-notice cancellation spots do sometimes become available, these are generally reserved for clients already engaged in ongoing treatment. For new clients, I only book into time slots where I know I can offer consistent follow-up.

If you're on my waitlist, or considering reaching out as a potential new client, please know that I’ll contact you if an appropriate opening becomes available sooner. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and I look forward to connecting when the timing allows for meaningful, ongoing work together.
