I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 2008. I completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the U of S in 2016. I completed my predoctoral residency in 2015 with the Correctional Service of Canada in Kingston, Ontario.
I grew up in Saskatoon, and moved back home after completing my residency. I was employed at the Regional Psychiatric Centre until 2017, when I transitioned into full-time private practice working for Chartier Arnold Shimp & Associates (now CASA). I have since started my own independent private practice in Saskatoon, where you can find me today!
I am currently registered as a full member in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SCP), and I also possess the Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) to be able to formally assess and communicate diagnoses of mental disorders. I continue to be actively involved in the training of new clinical psychologists, and maintain Professional Affiliate status with the Clinical Psychology Department at the U of S. I am also currently an SCP Council Member-at-large.
I offer assessment and therapy services for adults. I work with my clients using the most proven and effective evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) strategies to help them improve their lives as quickly as possible, in the following areas: depression and mood, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, panic attacks, phobias, sleep issues, or just feeling stuck!
While as a clinical psychologist I always strive to use the most effective, science-driven approaches to help my clients improve their lives, this work is always guided by a person-centred approach that emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and warmth (and a little bit of humour!).
